This year's prestigious World's 50 Best Restaurants award winners will be revealed this evening in London, and we'll find out whether last year's #1 — El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, Spain — will take the top spot for the second year in a row.
The list, organized by Restaurant magazine and co-sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, gives a snapshot of the best restaurants in the world in a given year.
It is selected by the votes of more than 900 international leaders in the restaurant industry, including food critics, chefs, and restaurateurs. Each member can cast seven votes, and at least three must recognize restaurants outside of their home regions.
El Celler, which serves native Catalan fare with a cutting-edge twist, took the crown in 2013, displacing four-time winner Noma, the Copenhagen restaurant known for serving "foraged" fare.
We'll be following along live as the 2014 list is unveiled, starting at 3:15 p.m. EDT. Click here for updates.
